| Hi, my name is Ms. Filipek Johnson. Welcome to my classroom!
I have been teaching at Longfellow Humanities Magnet School since 1984! I have been a Gifted and Talented coordinator, and
I have also taught 4th, 5th, and 6th Grade split classes.
I grew up in Roseville, Minnesota. I graduated from the
College of Saint Catherine with a BA in English, the University of
Minnesota with a BS in Elementary Education, and Saint Mary's
University with an MA in Teaching and Learning. I am married
and I have three children. My
family and I live in Como Park.
Teaching brings back fond memories for me of my
own learning experiences, and I share my enthusiasm and dedication
with my students. I work hard to incorporate my creative energy
and love of history into my teaching within the Humanities curriculum.
