The Classical Education Model
The Classical Educational Model provides a sound foundation on which to prepare students for amazing futures.  Born in ancient Greece and Rome, this approach has been used throughout the Western World for centuries.  It is the way many of our great founding leaders were taught and many of our universities are based.

A framework referred to as the Trivium provides the structure around which the model is designed.  The Trivium is composed of 3 stages:  Grammar, Logic and Rhetoric.

The Grammar stage is the focus of the elementary school years.  Instruction is concentrated on the acquisition and mastery of the basic building blocks of all knowledge.  Through memorization and application, students learn the facts for competency and understanding in the areas of literacy, math, history, art, language and science.

The Logic stage is designated for the middle school years, with the goal to build critical thinking skills.  The Rhetoric stage occurs at the high school level.  This is when the Grammar stage and the Logic stage come together to create independent thinkers who possess the knowledge, skills and abilities needed to lead successful lives.
