Core Knowledge Core Knowledge is an educational reform movement that focuses on shared knowledge and solid rigorous academic content with high expectations for all children.  Core Knowledge develops a cultural literacy in a way that is systematic but leaves room for creativity for both teacher and student.     Core Knowledge provides a sequencing and spiraling of knowledge topics that permits students to master increasingly challenging and complex knowledge.  All students acquire a broad base of shared knowledge and rich vocabulary.  Students demonstrate superior overall literacy.
